(4th February 2019 – Montreal/Warsaw) Media Ranch, the award-winning Montreal-based TV production and distribution company, today announces the appointment of Louise Juel Severin to launch the company’s Scandinavian office.

Louise joins Media Ranch from Danish broadcaster DR where she has been Sales Manager of Formats since August 2014. While there, she sold the global distribution rights to award-winning show ‘Ultras Sorte Kageshow’ (‘Baking in the Dark’) to MGM in 2018 and the format ‘Gintberg på Kanten’ (‘Comedy on the Edge’) into more than 11 countries.

Louise’s career also includes two years with the Scandinavian production company To The Moon and four years at STV Production and Scandinavian Rights, where she was Sales Director and Head of Acquisitions. She also held a number of director-level positions at Zodiak Television Denmark, MTV Mastiff Sweden and Strix Television Norway and Denmark.

In the newly created role of Vice President Sales and Acquisitions, Scandinavia, Louise will oversee sales, acquisitions and general operations for Media Ranch in all Scandinavian territories. She is immediately tasked with acquiring new formats and finished programmes for the business.

Based in Warsaw, Denmark, Louise will report directly to Media Ranch SVP Distribution Tanja van der Goes. She begins her new role on March 1st.

“We are delighted to welcome Louise as a fellow Rancher, where she will launch our first Scandinavian office. Louise has a fantastic track record at DR and we know she will do a great job here at Media Ranch,” said Media Ranch President Sophie Ferron.

“I can’t wait to start this new role at such a well-regarded company as Media Ranch. I’m looking forward to working with this incredible team and build on the fantastic work they have already done over the past few years,” said Louise Juel Severin, Vice President Sales and Acquisitions, Scandinavia, Media Ranch.

“I’m also looking forward to bringing new exciting content to Scandinavia from the Media Ranch catalogue and I know there will be many new partners to work with.”

Louise’s hire follows the 2017 appointment of Media Ranch SVP Distribution Tanja van der Goes, who is based in the company’s Amsterdam office.

Last month, Media Ranch and US distributor GRB Studios jointly announced a strategic alliance designed to complement and expand both businesses’ original IP and distribution operations worldwide.
