Canadian producer and distributor Media Ranch has unveiled a slate of original formats for Mipcom this month.
Pay It Forward (Donnez au Suivant) is an inspirational reality series that helps people change their lives for the better. After more than eight seasons, it is the only series to have aired in primetime on all three of Quebec’s networks, TQS, TVA and Canal Vie.
Who Am I? (Wie Ben Ik?) is a long-running Dutch primetime comedy panel show that has aired on RTL and SBS6 in which celebrity teams try to guess the hidden name of a person, character, animal, object or location.
The Eyes of the Sea is a reality adventure format that challenges the courage and survival skills of 10 people competing to become the next great underwater photographer.
Other formats Media Ranch will take to Cannes include controversial cooking format Tipsy Recipes, with season four scheduled to air in January 2018 on Vtélé as Les Recette Pompettes; law formats Verdict on Demand and Legal House Call, which have both aired in the Netherlands; The Couple, titled Double Occupancy in French Canada and now in its 11th season; and 125×30’ episodes of classic 90s Canadian blind date show Thunderstruck (Coup de Foudre).
